Property risk / How you use it
Three simple ways in.
Same screening every time. Wildfire and flood at the property, kept separate, and daily fire weather across B.C.
1. Look up one address
Type the address while the file is open. You get a wildfire screening and a flood screening for that place. If the address is unclear, it stops for a person to check rather than guessing the building.
2. Run a list of properties
Send the book. Come back to a result for each property, plus a report you can keep. Anything that could not be matched cleanly is held for review.
3. Connect it to your systems
Use the same screening in origination, renewal or review. Fire and flood stay separate. There is no combined grade, and no field for a loss number or a premium.
What the screening covers
Wildfire at the property
Nearby forest conditions, historical wildfire activity, fuels, and long-term climate. Not a chance the building will ignite, and not a loss estimate.
Flood at the property
Terrain, drainage, mapped flood evidence, official context, and how water moves through the landscape. Not flood depth for every site, not legal flood status, and not a loss estimate.
Daily fire weather
Forecast weather and the Canadian Fire Weather Index for all of British Columbia, on a 5 km grid. Not a chance that a fire will start, and not a reading of a single building.
